Silicol®gel is colloidal Silicic acid, a natural compound made from the mineral silicon and oxygen in a hydrated form.
Dosage of Silicol®gel
Internal use:
- Shake bottle well before every use
- Take silicol®gel at least 1 hour before or after the intake of medicines.
To treat gastrointestinal disorders, take 1 tablespoon (15ml) of silicol®gel three times daily, preferably before meals.
Silicol®gel can be taken either undiluted or diluted with water. After acute symptoms ease, treatment with silicol®gel can continue for another few days.
Silicol®gel also alleviates similar symptoms in the gastrointestinal tract that may occur due to a change in diet during travel or on holiday.
If symptoms have not reduced after three days, consult a medical doctor.
With diarrhoea, it is important to replace lost fluids by drinking plenty of water.
Ingredients
Each 100ml of Silicic acid gel contains 3.5g Silicon dioxide.
It also contains the preservatives: Sorbic acid (E 200), Sodium benzoate (E 211).
Side effects
There are no known side effects with use of silicic acid.
